Montreal (Quebec), January 21st 2016 – The Centre of Excellence in Energy Efficiency (C3E) invests 350 000 $ in NORDRESA inc. for the commercialization of its motorization systems for electric vehicles including batteries, charging systems, power and control converters and various interfaces (electrical, mechanical and thermal). In a first time, these technologies will be exploited in a conversion system for Ford’s platforms E-450 used primarily for delivery operations of goods, postal delivery or passenger transport by minibus.

The company benefits of 15 year-experience of its founder, Sylvain Castonguay, to support its approach on international alliances and extensive expertise in technology watch, market analysis and engineering related to electric vehicles.

C3E’s investment in NORDRESA will accelerate the introduction of this technology in the increasing market of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). While reducing their cost of operation, the users of fleets vehicles of classes 3 and 4 will generate carbon credits available for the Quebec market, “says C3E’s CEO, Donald Angers.

“NORDRESA intends to become a leader in marketing solution for sustainable mobility. The NEC 50, put on display with the C3E, will prevent the equivalent of 20 tons of GHGs per year per vehicle. The proposed solution will be demonstrated by a commercial operation in parcel delivery, but the technology is also compatible with the service vehicles, transport of disabled people and even school transportation by minibus. The C3E’s participation enables our company to increase its visibility in Quebec and elsewhere in North America as well as quickly attract the attention of large truck fleet owners interested to reduce their overall operating costs and carve out a place among the leading companies involved in the fight against climate change ” explains NORDRESA’s President, Sylvain Castonguay.
